Step 3: Manage Template

If you have fixed allowance for all employees, template is the best choice for you as no need to assign manually one by one.

In this section, you will learn how to:

  • Set up a new template
  • Assign/ Remove template to employees.

3.1 Set up a new template

  1. Click ➕ button to create a new template.
  2. Key in template name. Multiple allowances can be in a template.
  3. Select an earning from dropdown list. Key in the amount. Multiple allowances can be in a template.
  4. Click on one of the earning to view deductions.
  5. Click Save.
  6. By clicking ✏️  icon, you can edit the payroll template and delete the payroll template.

3.2 Assign/ Remove template to employees

  1. Select specific employees and then click the green ➕ icon.
  2. When assigning a template, a pop-up window will appear prompting the user to choose either "Manual Remove"—where the template remains until manually removed—or "Set Duration (From and To)," which will automatically detach the template after the specified month.
  3. To remove the template to employees, you can select the specific employees and then click the “Remove Template”.

There are 3 checkboxes at the ‘New Template’. You may use these checkbox or create directly on "other earning/deduction" setting.
  • Use Travelling Allowance
  • Use Bonus
  • Use BIK/VOLA

3.2.1 Use Travelling Allowance

a) First, enable the ‘Travelling Allowance’ under Other Earnings/Deductions.

b) Then, select the E/EA Field if exceed Tax Exemption Limit.

c) Now, you can create a 'New Template' for the travelling allowance.

d) Select it from the dropdown box or check the 'Use Travelling Allowance' option.

3.2.2 Use Bonus

a) Check the bonus setting under Other Earnings/Deduction.

b) Create a 'New Template' for the bonus. Select it from the dropdown box or check the 'Use Bonus' option.
